Job summary

Barking & Dagenham Council is hiring a Heritage Place Manager/Senior Project Manager for the Culture and Heritage Service. The role involves managing a programme of heritage projects, developing bids to the Heritage Lottery Fund, and ensuring delivery in line with council policies, budgets and funding conditions.

Qualifications

• Degree and experience in Arts, Culture and Heritage project management.
• At least 5 years of experience commissioning, managing and evaluating projects.
• Public sector delivery experience and GDPR knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver projects within time, cost and quality.
• Line manage Heritage Engagement Officer and collaborate with Culture and Heritage team.
• Develop and co-ordinate Heritage Lottery Fund bids and procurement.
• Provide written bids, evaluation reports and specialist reporting to funders.
• Establish and monitor KPIs, implement quality controls and engage stakeholders.
• Attend and schedule stakeholder meetings to ensure alignment with funding frameworks.
