Job summary

University of Oxford seeks a Gardener to maintain and enhance a diverse landscape within the University estate. You will work as part of an experienced team on grounds maintenance, planting, pruning, turf and hedge care, and safe operation of horticultural machinery.

Your efforts support the daily experience of students, staff and visitors. The role contributes to preserving historic green spaces while promoting sustainability and wellbeing across the campus.

Qualifications

• Craft qualification in horticulture or land-based work.
• Good knowledge of horticultural practices.
• Experience with a broad range of horticultural equipment.
• Full driving licence.
• Flexible approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance landscapes across the University's estate.
• Carry out grounds maintenance, planting, pruning, turf and hedge work.
• Operate horticultural machinery safely.
• Support preservation of historic green spaces.
