Are you passionate about preserving history and enhancing access to heritage collections? The UK Parliament is seeking a Heritage Collections Information Assistant to join the Strategic Estates team, supporting the professional management of three nationally and internationally significant collections: the Parliamentary Art Collection, Historic Furniture and Decorative Arts, and Architectural Fabric. In this role, you'll play a key part in improving and streamlining collection documentation, supporting data cleansing and preparation for migration to a new Collections Management System (CMS). You'll work both independently and collaboratively across the Parliamentary Estate and storage facilities, ensuring information is accurate, standardised, and aligned with SPECTRUM documentation standards.

  • Experience using heritage sector collections management software.
  • Strong understanding of documentation standards (SPECTRUM) across diverse object types.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of data accurately.
  • Good organisation and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Understanding of rights management principles.
