Job summary

Farcroft Restorations seeks skilled Heritage Carpenters and Architectural Joiners to join a major restoration project in Wiltshire. 12-month contract with either employed or self-employed engagement; immediate start possible.

You will work with an experienced site team on historic timber features, ensuring workmanship respects the property's character. The role requires accuracy and traditional craftsmanship, reading drawings and specs, and collaborating with conservation specialists to maintain

Qualifications

• Proven experience working on historic, listed or architecturally significant buildings.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and measurements.
• Experience with traditional joinery techniques and timber features.
• CSCS card is essential; asbestos awareness and manual handling certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out heritage carpentry and architectural joinery on restoration project.
• Repair, restore and replace historic timber features.
• Produce and fit bespoke timber components.
• Work on doors, windows, frames, panels and related features.
• Follow health and safety procedures and work with site team.
