Helpdesk Operator – Full Time Location: Oxford (Hospital Setting)

Enhanced DBS required

Hours: 40 hours per week (5 x 8-hour shifts)

Pay: £12.21 per hour | £15.00 per hour for evenings, weekends & bank holidays

Are you organised, calm under pressure, and great with people? We’re looking for a Helpdesk Operator to join our team, working in a busy hospital environment in Oxford. You’ll play a key role in keeping everything running smoothly by handling calls and requests from hospital staff and ensuring they get to the right team quickly.

What You’ll Do:

  • Answer phone calls and emails promptly (within agreed timeframes)
  • Log all service requests accurately using our system
  • Pass requests to the correct department and follow up on their progress
  • Keep staff updated on the status of their requests
  • Work closely with different teams including Housekeeping, Porters, and Maintenance
  • Provide clear and accurate information to callers
  • Support the team with general admin tasks
  • Refer any issues you can’t resolve to the right contact

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a call centre or similar customer-focused role
  • Great attention to detail and accurate record keeping
  • Friendly, calm, and professional communication skills
  • Comfortable working under pressure and multitasking
  • Flexible approach to working hours – we operate 24/7/365
  • Confident with both spoken and written English

This is a full-time role (minimum 40 hours per week) and includes working some evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
