Job description

We are currently recruiting a Heidelberg Print Finishing Operator for one of our clients, based in the Bradford area. This is a straight permanent role with the client, for the right candidate.

Main duties:

  • Operate a B1 Print Finishing Machine.
  • Apply Emboss and Foil impressions to various types of cardboard/paper sheets.
  • Set up to 6 different foil positions at any one time.
  • Use die cutting formes to die cut full sheets.
  • Make ready multiple dies in any one pass.
  • Follow out in house quality checks, documenting any issues and archiving samples.
  • Work with the production team to lay up sheets while considering customer demand, machine positioning, waste and efficiencies.
  • Monitor consumable stock levels.
  • Use Melonex files to align dies in the exact required position.
  • Follow production schedules.
  • Use Low-Res imagery to countercheck all finished product.
  • Set machine temperatures/weight to suit bespoke dies/board.

Salary, hours & benefits
  • Salary is between £24,500 - £29,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • Overtime paid at time and one half.
  • 36-hour working week: Monday to Friday rotating shifts weekly.
Early shift is 06:30-14:00 Monday to Thursday/ 06:30-12:30 Fridays.
Late shift is 14:00-21:45 Mon-Thurs/12:30-17:30 Fridays.
  • 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, you will also accrue an additional day’s holiday per full year of service up to 5 days.
