Job summary

GTG Training – West Midlands is seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to become a Technical Trainer. Move from the workshop into a rewarding training role, helping develop the next generation of technicians.

Salary £35,000–£40,000 with bonus opportunities, hours Mon–Fri 8am–4:30pm, no weekend work. You’ll train apprentices and commercial delegates toward industry-recognised qualifications at GTG’s training centre, delivering practical and classroom training, assessing learner progress

Qualifications

• Strong heavy vehicle maintenance experience required.
• Electrical diagnostics and modern vehicle technology knowledge.
• Strong communication skills and enthusiasm.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Training apprentices and commercial delegates towards industry-recognised qualifications at GTG’s training centre.
• Delivering practical and classroom-based training.
• Assessing learner progress.
• Maintaining training records.
• Supporting apprentices throughout their development.
