A leading training provider in London is offering a unique opportunity for hands-on experience with machine tools and automotive service. You will receive comprehensive training, including support from a dedicated Development Coach and the chance to achieve the IMI Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician Level 3 qualification. Qualifications

  • Proficient in the application and use of machine tools.
  • Experience with machinery operation under supervision.
  • Ability to request parts using SAP application.
  • Strong attention to cleanliness and proper equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out tasks as directed by the GSE Technician or Workshop Supervisor.
  • Complete periodic servicing of vehicles and machines.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy working environment.
  • Prepare electronic service and inspection jobs accurately.

Job description

Key Accountabilities:
1. Become proficient in the application and use of a wide range of machine tools.
2. Use machinery under direct supervision following relevant safety instructions.
3. Perform tasks as directed by the GSE Technician or Workshop Supervisor to contribute to performance and competence.
4. Request parts using SAP application.
5. Maintain work bays and surrounding areas in a clean and tidy condition.
6. Keep special tools and equipment in good order and report problems or defective items immediately.
7. Ensure all work is passed as satisfactory by a qualified staff member upon completion.
8. Complete electronic Job cards/inspections accurately and submit at the end of each shift; record non-productive time for approval.
9. Conduct periodic servicing of vehicles and machines under supervision.
10. Complete general workshop administration paperwork accurately.
11. Fully complete all electronic service and inspection jobs correctly.
Training to be Provided
Training is delivered in the workplace and at Remit’s Automotive Academy in Derby through 16 weekly blocks over 32 months. Costs for accommodation, food, and travel are covered by the employer. Support from a Development Coach will help you achieve:
