Job Title: Heavy Vehicle Quality Inspector
Hours: Monday to Friday Days
Salary: £35,000
Benefits: Pension: 6% employer, 5% employee, 33 days holiday (including statutory), death in service 3x annual salary, company sick pay scheme, free onsite parking

Heavy Vehicle Quality Inspector Opportunity
We’re looking for a detail-oriented Heavy Vehicle Quality Inspector to ensure distribution tractors meet top safety and performance standards before delivery. This is the final checkpoint in the inspection process, verifying all quality checks after workshop repairs and servicing.

Heavy Vehicle Quality Inspector Duties

  • Conduct final pre-delivery inspections, ensuring all safety-critical components meet standards.
  • Identify and document defects, ensuring issues are fixed before dispatch.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records for compliance and audits.
  • Provide feedback to workshop engineers on recurring issues and improvements.
  • Support mobile inspections for the Field Service Team as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Heavy Vehicle Quality Inspector skills/experience required
  • Engineering or technical qualification (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds).
  • Experience with heavy vehicles, commercial fleets, or plant machinery.
  • Familiarity with ISO quality standards.
  • Experience in quality control, vehicle inspection, or automotive/heavy machinery maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems in distribution tractors or similar vehicles.
  • Understanding of industry safety standards and regulations.
  • Attention to detail and ability to spot defects.
  • Strong communication skills for feedback and reporting.
  • Proficiency in using inspection tools and diagnostic equipment.
