Job description

Plant Fitter Position - Burscough

I am currently recruiting for a highly skilled plant fitter to join my client, based in the Burscough area. My client is an industry leader within their sector, offering a great working environment and excellent benefits.

Salary: £35,000 to £40,000, depending on experience.

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:00 am to 5:30 pm; Friday, 8:00 am to 1:30 pm.

Requirements: Candidates must have NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in heavy plant and a valid CSCS card.

Key Tasks:

1. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, basic electrical, and engine problems.
2. Have basic knowledge of telematics systems fitted to equipment.
3. Undertake inspections of plant and equipment using templates.
4. Perform basic weld repairs as required.
5. Maintain a log of personal tools.
6. Complete maintenance on heavy plant machinery.
7. Read technical drawings.

This role involves a very physical environment. Candidates will be required to pass a health check and a drug and alcohol test.
