Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Heavy Plant Engineer for an agricultural-focused role covering Crewe and surrounding Cheshire counties. You will service, diagnose and repair heavy plant and agricultural machinery with autonomous workload management and flexible hours.

You will gain manufacturer-specific training, a company van, ongoing progression opportunities and a competitive £40,000–£47,000 salary plus benefits, working Mon-Fri.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing and repairing heavy plant or agricultural machinery.
• Strong mechanical and hydraulic fault-finding skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Commutable to Crewe.

Are you a Heavy Plant Engineer or similar looking for a highly autonomous role where you can manage your own workload, have flexibility around your working hours, and receive specialist training on agricultural machinery?

This well-established, family-run machinery business provides sales, servicing and repair solutions to customers across Cheshire and the surrounding regions. Working with a range of leading machinery brands, the business has a strong reputation for supporting customers with heavy plant, tractors, loaders and agricultural equipment.

In this role, you will have a high level of autonomy, travelling to customer sites across a regional patch to service, diagnose and repair a range of heavy plant machinery. You will have flexibility around your working hours depending on customer requirements, while receiving manufacturer-specific training to broaden your knowledge of agricultural machinery and develop your career within the sector.

This role would suit a Heavy Plant Engineer, Plant Fitter or similar with strong mechanical and hydraulic fault-finding experience who enjoys working independently and wants the flexibility to develop their skills across both plant and agricultural machinery.
