Job description

Local metal processing plant in Lancaster, NY looking for an experienced equipment mechanic to join their team!

1st shift hours - 7:15am-3:45pm

Pay varies based on experience - $28-30/hr

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Must have 3+ years of experience repairing and maintaining heavy equipment, such as forklifts, front end loaders, excavators, etc.
2. Previous mechanical maintenance experience required
3. Must be familiar with hydraulics and basic electromechanical repairs
4. Must be able to troubleshoot and diagnose problems for repair
5. Welding experience is a plus

JOB DUTIES:

1. Follow a preventative maintenance schedule on all heavy equipment
2. Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair heavy equipment, including hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic systems
3. Perform routine inspections of heavy equipment to ensure correct operation
4. Use various hand and power tools
5. Operate equipment as needed
6. Maintain a clean and safe work environment
