About the Role :

We are currently seeking experienced Heavy Diesel / Digger Fitters interested in joining our team at Blackwater Mine. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for carrying out repairs and preventative maintenance on our large fleet consisting of :

• 4x Caterpillar 785 water trucks

About You :

• Relevant diesel fitter / heavy vehicle trade qualifications
• Demonstrated experience in a similar role
• Proven experience with 789 and 930E-4 Trucks along with 600 & 800T Caterpillar, Hitachi, & O&K Excavators
• High levels of initiative and the ability to work well under pressure
• Safety focus with a high attention to detail
• Excellent work planning and scheduling skills
• Current and valid drivers license
• Standard 11 would be advantageous

Located in Central Queensland, Whitehaven's Blackwater Mine is one of Queensland’s largest coal mines. It is situated approximately 21 kilometres from the town of Blackwater. The BUMA Australia team has been performing truck and excavator pre-strip operations at Blackwater since May 2012. Over 35 million bank cubic metres of material is mined by our fleets every year.
