About the role
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week
Location: Birmingham
Reporting to the M&E Heating Service and Repair Programme Manager, you ll lead a team of approximately 12 engineers delivering repairs, maintenance, servicing, and void (Empty Homes) works. Taking a hands-on approach, you ll provide technical guidance, coach your team to meet performance targets, and ensure consistently high standards across all areas of delivery.
You'll play a key role in driving quality assurance, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with regulatory standards-while keeping customer satisfaction at the heart of service delivery.

What we re looking for
We're seeking a skilled professional with strong leadership qualities and a proven track record in heating services. You'll bring:
NVQ Level 3 in HVAC (or equivalent qualification)
Core Gas Safety (CCN1) and SSCS Certificate (or equivalent)
Gas Safe "Registered Person" status
Level 3 Gas Audit qualification
Extensive experience in heating systems from installation to commissioning
Proven ability to lead, develop, and manage technical teams
Strong understanding of CDM Regulations and gas safety procedures, including unsafe situations
Excellent communication, organisational, and people management skills
Additional requirements
A full UK driving licence (a company car or cash allowance is provided with the role)
Right to work in the UK
