Job summary

MAP Technical sw Ltd is seeking an apprentice to gain hands-on experience in plumbing, heating and renewable energy. You will work with heating systems, heat pumps, underfloor heating and other renewables while pursuing an apprenticeship qualification.

Based in Pensford, the role offers on-site training with Bath College as the training provider, Monday to Friday 08.00–16.30, for 1 year, with potential future opportunities within the company.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or equivalent.
• Reliable, punctual and safety conscious.
• Willingness to learn and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with installation, servicing and maintenance of heating and renewable systems.
• Learning to install and work with heat pumps and underfloor heating.
• Carrying out practical plumbing and heating tasks on domestic and commercial projects.
• Following health and safety procedures and maintaining a high professional standard.
• Developing technical knowledge through on-the-job training and college study.

Introduction

We are looking for a motivated apprentice to join our team and develop practical skills in plumbing, heating and renewable energy. You will work alongside experienced engineers, gaining hands on experience with heating systems, heat pumps, underfloor heating and other renewable technologies, while working towards your apprenticeship qualification.

About the Employer

MAP Technical is a local growing company specialising in plumbing, heating and renewable energy solutions. We install and maintain heating systems, alongside renewable technologies such as air source and ground source heat pumps, underfloor heating and solar PV.

What You'll Do

As an apprentice, you will work alongside our experienced team and gain hands-on experience across a range of projects. Your role will include:

• Assisting with the installation, servicing and maintenance of heating and renewable systems.
• Learning to install and work with heat pumps, underfloor heating systems.
• Carrying out practical plumbing and heating tasks on domestic and commercial projects.
• Following health and safety procedures and learning to work to a high professional standard.
• Developing your technical knowledge and practical skills through on-the-job training and your studies
