Are you an experienced Site Manager, Engineering Supervisor, Compliance Inspector, Technical Surveyor or Risk Assessor? Or perhaps a heating engineer ready to take your next step into a more strategic, specialist role?

At Bromford, we're looking for a Heating Engineering Compliance Lead to oversee the safety and regulatory standards of our heating systems including gas, oil, solid fuel, and renewable energies. This is a specialist role with real purpose - you'll provide expert advice, influence strategy, and help make homes safer, every day.

You'll be the go-to person for Heating compliance across the business - shaping policy, supporting audits, and overseeing external contractors to ensure our 47,000 homes meet the highest safety standards.

Salary up to £52,240 plus company car or cash allowance, flexible working, generous annual leave, healthcare cash plan, and pension. This is a full-time, permanent roaming role based at one of our main offices: Lichfield, Wolverhampton, Tewkesbury or Chipping Sodbury.

What you'll be doing as Heating Engineering Compliance Lead:

  1. Leading Heating engineering compliance across the organisation
  2. Advising teams and senior leaders on regulations and best practice
  3. Shaping policies and procedures to meet evolving legal requirements
  4. Providing assurance and oversight for audits and risk management
  5. Monitoring and supporting external contractors and consultants
  6. Staying ahead of industry changes and adapting strategy accordingly

What we're looking for:

  1. Qualifications and proven experience in Heating compliance (gas, oil or solid fuel)
  2. Any experience of electrical and renewable energies would be advantageous
  3. Experience leading compliance-related work at a senior/specialist level
  4. Understanding of landlord compliance in social housing or property (advantageous)
  5. A full UK driving licence

Additionally, you should have:

  1. Proven experience managing compliance-related activity at a senior/specialist level
  2. Specialist qualifications in one or more of the following areas: Heating Safety (Gas, Oil, Solid Fuel & Renewables), Electrical Safety, Lifting Equipment Safety, Water Hygiene Safety (Legionella), Asbestos Management, Fire Safety
  3. A flexible working attitude with time, travel, and demonstrated reliability
  4. Confidence in using Microsoft Office applications and mobile devices
  5. In-depth knowledge of industry standards and regulations
  6. Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record-keeping
  7. Access to a vehicle and a full driving licence
