Job summary

Northumberland County Council in Blyth is seeking an experienced Heating Engineer to join our team at the Cowley Road Depot, with primary work across Alnwick. You will be part of a three-person team delivering high-quality installation, service and repairs of central heating systems.

The role requires current gas qualifications (CCN1, CPA1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1) and Gas ACS certificates, a full driving licence, and willingness to participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota. 37 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Current gas qualifications: CCN1, CPA1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1.
• Gas ACS qualifications and experience essential.
• Full, clean driving licence required.
• Experience installing central heating systems; bathroom installs desirable.
• Role suited to installation, service/repair, or all-rounder profiles.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality workmanship across varied workplaces.
• Work as part of a three-person team at Cowley Road Depot, Blyth, with duties across Alnwick.
• Be available to participate in out-of-hours call-out rota; 37 hours per week.
