Job summary

A leading boiler service company in Guildford is looking for an experienced service engineer to maintain gas boilers and air source heat pumps. The role requires at least 5 years of experience in the field along with Level 2 Plumbing and Heating qualifications. You will have a work pattern of Mon – Fri with a focus on quality service delivery in customers' homes. Competitive salary and numerous benefits are offered.

Job description

Overview

Package: Up to £48k base salary. Overtime available at time/half during weekdays and double on weekends (optional). Mon – Fri work pattern. Door to door. New van. Up to 27 days + bank holidays. Matching pension contribution per month. Private healthcare and dental insurance.

Role

PPM, warranty, aftercare service and maintenance of the main boiler and ASHP manufacturers. No emergency call out or weekend work.

Experience and Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience servicing gas boilers and/or air source heat pumps (ASHP).
• Minimum Level 2 Plumbing and Heating qualifications with G3 unvented.
• S & Y plans knowledge.
• Good knowledge of heating controls.
• Heating electrics qualifications (18th Edition) would be an advantage but not essential.
• Any ASHP knowledge, experience or training would be of great benefit.
• Good communication skills as you will be working in customers’ homes and the company is NPS scored on customer service.

• Large nationwide team of boiler service and ASHP service engineers; engineers work within a maximum of 40 minutes travel time of their home, ideally less.
• Quality over quantity: a maximum of 4 services a day depending on complexity.

• All heating service engineers receive high-level training, especially on heat pumps as many are already accomplished boiler engineers.
• The company has increased its number of engineers by 25% in the last year and plans to increase by 50% next year due to growth in online aftermarket warranty and aftercare packages for plumbing and heating focused on gas boilers and ASHPs.
