Job summary

Rock Recruitment is seeking a Gas & ASHP Engineer to join a growing renewable heating business in the North East. The role combines domestic gas work with renewable heating installations, offering opportunities across gas and heat pump technologies and a steady local workload.

You will install, service and repair domestic gas boilers, install/commission air source heat pumps, diagnose faults and maintain safety standards, while documenting work and delivering strong customer service.

Qualifications

• ACS gas qualifications are required.
• G3 Unvented Hot Water qualification is required.
• Experience working on domestic gas systems is essential.
• Experience with air source heat pumps is highly desirable.
• A full UK driving licence and good customer-service skills are required.

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

Salary: £36,000 basic

OTE: £45,000-£50,000

We are recruiting for a Gas & ASHP Engineer to join an established and growing renewable heating business operating across the North East.

This is a varied role combining domestic gas work with renewable heating installations. You'll have the opportunity to work across both traditional heating systems and air source heat pumps, with a steady pipeline of local work and strong earning potential.

What you'll be doing

• Installing, servicing and repairing domestic gas boilers
• Installing, commissioning and maintaining air source heat pumps
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs
• Ensuring all work meets current regulations and safety standards
• Completing job sheets and relevant compliance documentation
• Providing excellent customer service to domestic customers

What you'll need

• Valid ACS gas qualifications
• G3 Unvented Hot Water qualification
• Experience working on domestic gas systems
• Air source heat pump experience is highly desirable
• Full UK driving licence
• A professional approach and good customer-service skills
