Job summary

Octane Recruitment Limited seeks an experienced HGV Technician to join a busy fleet workshop at Heathrow. The ideal candidate has at least one year of relevant vehicle technician experience and holds a Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent), plus a valid UK driving licence.

You will service, repair and diagnose commercial vehicles, including Transits and Sprinters, and work across engines, transmissions, brakes and suspension.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year's experience as an HGV Technician, Commercial Vehicle Technician, LCV Technician or Vehicle Technician.
• Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (NVQ or equivalent).
• Strong mechanical servicing, maintenance and repair skills.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment and software.
• Valid driving licence.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair commercial and fleet vehicles.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic faults.
• Carry out repairs to engines, transmissions, brakes and suspension.
• Complete routine servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Use diagnostic equipment and software to identify and resolve faults.
• Maintain accurate repair records and workshop documentation.
• Ensure all work meets workshop quality and safety standards.

Education

Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (NVQ or equivalent)
