Location: North Shields, field based with the requirement to occasionally work away from home depending on project location.

Reporting to: Installation Manager

A full, driver’s license is required for this role with 6 points or less.

The Role

We are seeking a skilled Heat Pump Installer to join our team, focusing on air and ground source heat pump systems. The ideal candidate has renewable energy experience, plumbing and heating expertise, and works across domestic, commercial, and new-build sectors in the North of England. This role offers variety and the chance to work on innovative energy systems.

Working Hours

Monday – Friday, 8:00-5:00pm

Responsibilities

• Install heat pump systems per manufacturer specs and regulations.
• Perform maintenance and troubleshoot issues.
• Test and commission systems for proper operation.
• Communicate with customers about installations and maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records of work done.
• Follow safety protocols and industry standards.
• Stay updated with industry trends and training.

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified plumber, pipe fitter, or heating engineer with NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing and unvented cylinders qualification.
• Experience with unvented cylinders, radiator circuits, underfloor heating.
• Experience installing air and/or ground source heat pumps.
• Familiarity with minor electrical works is a plus.

Extra Credit

• Certifications like HETAS, Gas Safe, F-Gas, ventilation.
• CSCS card.
