Job summary

RGB in London and the Home Counties is seeking a Commercial Pipefitter to maintain communal and district heat networks for commercial clients. The role covers City of London and surrounding counties, offering 37.5 hours per week with flexi start times between 8am and 8pm, and a salary in the £49,000–£53,000 range.

A company van and fuel card are provided, along with 25 days' holiday and private healthcare after probation.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial/industrial pipefitting and installation of plant rooms.
• Strong knowledge of commercial heating and water systems.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing and Heating or equivalent.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and plan installation routes accordingly.
• Full UK Driving Licence (clean or with minimal points).
• Capable of working independently and managing responsibilities on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install commercial pipework systems including heating, chilled water, domestic hot/cold water, and gas, primarily installing and replacing heat metering plant rooms within HNTAS regulations.
• Plan and route pipework on-site in line with drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
• Work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to deliver installations on time and to specification.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical documents.
• Keep accurate daily work records and report any site variations or issues that may impact progress to supervisors or the office team.
