Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking an experienced Cardiology Specialist Nurse with advanced practice qualification to join the Heart Failure Service in Dundee. This full-time, 36-hour post is Band 7 and involves leading pathways of care in collaboration with Consultant teams.

You will hold advanced clinical knowledge across cardiac conditions, deliver person-centred care, and work with community and GP services to national standards and guidelines. Informal enquiries to Elizabeth Baird.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate diploma in Advanced Practice or working towards.
• Extensive cardiology experience in a clinical setting.
• Advanced skills including clinical assessment, non-medical prescribing and ECG rhythm recognition.

Responsibilities

• Manage a defined group of heart failure patients and lead pathways of care in collaboration with Consultant teams.
• Make independent, informed clinical decisions to ensure high standards of care in line with local and national guidelines.
• Collaborate with community teams and GP services to meet departmental and organisational objectives.
