Job Opportunity: Healthy Communities Manager - Bexley, Kent

Salary: £35,000 Plus Benefits

I am delighted to be searching for a Healthy Communities Manager across the Bexley area to promote an active and healthy community through effective partnerships and programme development.

The Healthy Communities Manager will work closely with central, regional, and site teams, as well as key stakeholders. This role will ensure the Healthy Communities service contributes to national and local outcomes, improving the health and wellbeing of local residents and reducing inequalities across priority demographics.

Key Responsibilities

1. Implement the Healthy Communities Plan and associated KPIs, taking responsibility and accountability for its success.
2. Prioritise partnership working by establishing and maintaining links with organisations locally, regionally, and nationally. Represent the company on local stakeholder forums and groups.
3. Identify opportunities to add value and improve the health and wellbeing of local residents.
4. Increase local physical activity levels, driving footfall into leisure centres, and supporting the contracts member retention plan.
5. Maximise opportunities for the community to access leisure facilities through new activity programmes, health initiatives, and community programming across all facilities.

The Candidate

• Experience in a healthy community, health & wellbeing, or sports development role.
• Proven experience in programme management, including budgeting and leading service level agreements, especially in healthy community, health & wellbeing, sport development, and community programmes.
• Awareness of Active Partnerships, National Governing Body initiatives, local Healthcare networks, the voluntary sector, and Local Authorities.
• Qualification to National Governing Body Level 1 is desirable.
• Safeguarding, Child Protection, and First Aid qualifications are desirable.
