Job summary

Places for People seeks a qualified instructor to set up and run Healthy Communities projects across a local contract area. You will deliver gym-based and community health sessions, focusing on reducing health inequalities and improving wellbeing.

Responsibilities include planning, delivering, monitoring sessions and collaborating with the line manager on evaluations, with a strong emphasis on data protection and community impact.

Qualifications

• Qualified instructor in relevant discipline to deliver sessions independently (Gym Level 3, NGB Level 2 or higher).
• Experience in planning, delivering and monitoring sessions.
• Demonstrated passion for improving community health.
• Competent with MS Office tools for planning and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Set up and manage Sustainable Healthy Communities projects delivering measurable impact locally.
• Complete monitoring and evaluation as requested by line manager per data protection rules.
• Deliver specific Healthy Community projects (e.g., Exercise Referral, gym sessions, falls prevention) per manager guidance.

More about your role

• Set up and manage a range of sustainable Healthy Communities projects/programmes that deliver measurable impact for the community for a local contract area. With a focus on tackling health inequalities.
• Complete any monitoring and evaluation requested by line manager in line with current data protection protocols
• In line with relevant training / qualifications held, deliver specific Healthy community project/ programme, e.g. Exercise Referral, gym-based classes, falls prevention, according to the parameter discussed with line manager.
