Job summary

Places Leisure Group invites applications for roles delivering Healthy Communities projects to benefit local communities in our network. You will run gym-based classes, refer participants to health programmes, and monitor impact to support healthier lifestyles.

The role requires qualified instructors, planning and delivery experience, and a passion for improving community health. You will work within our safeguarding guidelines and use common MS tools for reporting.

Qualifications

• Qualified instructor with gym level qualifications to deliver sessions independently.
• Experience in planning, delivering and monitoring sessions.
• Passion for improving the health of the local community.
• Proficiency with MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up and manage a range of Healthy Communities projects for a local contract area, focusing on reducing health inequalities.
• Complete monitoring and evaluation as requested by line manager in line with data protection protocols.
• Deliver specific Healthy Community projects/programmes (e.g. exercise referral, gym-based classes, falls prevention) as discussed with line manager.

More About Your Role

• Set up and manage a range of sustainable Healthy Communities projects/programmes that deliver measurable impact for the community for a local contract area. With a focus on tackling health inequalities.
• Complete any monitoring and evaluation requested by line manager in line with current data protection protocols
• In line with relevant training / qualifications held, deliver specific Healthy community project/ programme, e.g. Exercise Referral, gym-based classes, falls prevention, according to the parameter discussed with line manager.

More About You

• Qualified instructor in relevant in relevant discipline to deliver sessions independently i.e. Gym level 3, NGB level 2 or higher.
• Experienced in planning, delivering and monitoring sessions.
• Passion for improving the health of the local community.
