Job summary

Places for People Group invites applications for a role delivering Healthy Communities programmes at local sites. You will set up projects aimed at reducing health inequalities, plan and run sessions, and monitor outcomes to demonstrate impact.

The position requires qualified instructional credentials and experience in planning and delivering community fitness activities, with a strong commitment to improving local health. Flexible working options are available.

Qualifications

• Qualified instructor in relevant discipline to deliver sessions independently (Gym Level 3, NGB Level 2 or higher). Exercise Referral Level 3 essential.
• Experience in planning, delivering and monitoring sessions.
• Passion for improving the health of the local community.
• Ability to use MS tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up and manage a range of sustainable Healthy Communities projects/programmes that deliver measurable impact for the community in a local contract area, focusing on reducing health inequalities.
• Complete monitoring and evaluation as requested by line manager, in line with data protection protocols.
• Deliver specific Healthy Community sessions (e.g. Exercise Referral, gym-based classes, falls prevention) as discussed with line manager.

• In line with relevant training / qualifications held, deliver specific Healthy community project/ programme, e.g. Exercise Referral, gym-based classes, falls prevention, according to the parameter discussed with line manager.
