A health services provider in the UK is seeking a Child and Young Person Assistant to assist in the Healthy Child and Public Health Nursing Programme. The role involves routine health screenings and support under a Public Health Nurse in clinics located in Hatfield and Cheshunt. Candidates with NVQ level 3 in Early Years or Childcare are encouraged to apply. Flexibility for working hours is provided.

We have two posts available for a healthy Child and Young Person Assistant, one post based at Queensway Health Clinic in Hatfield and one post based at Bishops College in Cheshunt.
This posts are suitable for people with NVQ level 3 in Early Years or Childcare (BTEC, NNEB, CACHE Diploma) or previous experience as a Healthy Child and Young Person assistant.
The two positions advertised will be to assist in the delivery of the universal Healthy Child and Public Health Nursing Programme as part of the Hertfordshire Family Center Service. You will be working under the supervision of a Public Health Nurse in helping to improve the health & well-being of our school population. The main role is to plan, organise & undertake routine screening of hearing & vision of reception children plus participating in measuring children in reception class & Year 6 as part of the National Child Measurement Programme.

The successful candidates will:
Be a team player and also be able to work independentlyHave excellent communication skills to use with children and young people plus a variety of clients, professionals & staffHave experience of electronic record keeping (this would be an advantage although full training will be given)Have a full valid driving licence and access to a car to use for business purposes is essential (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
We are looking for a candidates that can work 22.5 hours a week
