Overview

Aspire People are currently recruiting healthcare teaching assistants to work in a special needs school located in Grantham.

This school caters for students in KS1 through KS4 and is looking for a teaching assistant who has experience in the care sector and is interested in utilising those skills within education.

The role is to start in September on a rolling contract, with the option to go permanent. The pay rate is up to 109 per day.

This is an excellent opportunity for anyone from an education background or those who have worked within healthcare/support roles.

Responsibilities
  • Work one-to-one with students across KS1 to KS4.
  • Collaborate with a number of assistants and the class teacher to support learning.
  • Develop students' social and cognitive development.
  • Support the school’s senior leadership team and contribute to a positive learning environment.
  • Support a long-term contract with a view to extension or permanent opportunity.
  • Adhere to safeguarding and welfare requirements for pupils.
Hours

Monday to Friday – 8:30 to 15:30.

Requirements / Qualifications
  • Experience in the care sector or healthcare; interest in applying those skills in an educational setting.
  • Background in education or healthcare/support work.
  • Willingness to undergo appropriate safeguarding checks and child protection screening as required (DBS/clearance).
