Job summary

The beauty of working as part of our temporary staffing team is that you will have the option to work in different areas of the Trust, gaining experience in different specialities and working with an array of skilled professionals. This is an opportunity for you to join a world renowned hospital caring for patients with complex heart and lung conditions.

As part of your induction into the Trust you will have a full weeks paid induction which will get you integrated with the Trusts systems and up to date with our mandatory training. You will also get a paid shadow shift in one of our clinical areas where you will be supported in familiarising yourself using our electronic patient record system and getting to know our patients and staff

Qualifications

Completed Care Certificate (Health Education England)

Vocational qualification at Level 2 in Health or Health Social Care or equivalent (e.g. 2nd or 3rd year student nurse)

Experience

At least 6 months clinical experience in an acute setting within last 2 years.
Knowledge of personal patient care and related procedures.
Understands the need for strict confidentiality.
Effective communication ability, particularly with patients and their relatives/carers.
Able to plan and prioritise own workload as delegated by and under the direction of registered nurses and able to report patient condition to senior staff.
Able to follow policies and protocols
Able to undertake routine personal care duties, referring to supervisor where necessary.
Able to demonstrate an empathetic and caring approach to patients and relatives and respect patient dignity at all times.
Ability to work within own boundaries within a team.
Able to use IT systems.
