Job summary

Wight Healthcare seeks Healthcare Support Workers to join the Physical Health Inpatient Wards at Lymington New Forest Hospital and Romsey Hospital. You will be a core MDT member delivering patient-centred care under Registered Nurse supervision, and contribute to monitoring, treatment, and recovery of acute physical health inpatients.

The role welcomes candidates with healthcare experience who can start at Band 2 and progress to Band 3 on competency progression.

• Prior experience in a healthcare environment.
• Team player with excellent communication skills.
• Willing to start at Band 2 and progress to Band 3 on competencies.

Are you a compassionate, experienced, and motivated healthcare worker looking to take the next step in your career? We are seeking Healthcare Support Workers to join our dynamic and dedicated Physical Health Inpatient Wards in Lymington and Romsey Hospital.

Lymington New Forest Hospital is a large modern community hospital providing five in-patient wards including a stroke rehabilitation unit and medical assessment unit.

There are two wards at Romsey Hospital with 19 beds in total. Our aim is to rehabilitate or re-able people to return to their own homes within two weeks of their admission/transfer, or where people are not able to return home to have undertaken appropriate assessment and liaised with relevant services

In this role, you will work as a core member of the multidisciplinary team (MDT), delivering high-quality, holistic, and safe patient-centred care. Working under the guidance and supervision of Registered Nurses, and alongside delivering fundamental patient care, you will take on clinical responsibilities to assist in the monitoring, treatment, and recovery of acute physical health inpatients.
