Job summary

Cardiff and Vale University Health Board in Wakefield region is seeking a compassionate healthcare support worker to join the Integrated Care Team. You will provide patient-centred care in community settings, supporting nurses and other professionals across homes, clinics and the wider team.

This role involves personal care tasks, a flexible shift pattern including days, nights, weekends and bank holidays, and regular travel between patients' homes.

Job description

The healthcare support worker role within the Integrated Care Team is an integral part of the service, providing patient-centred care to the residents of Wakefield and the 5 towns area (Castleford, Featherstone, Knottingley, Normanton, Pontefract) within their preferred place of care. You will support nurses and other healthcare professional in providing care to our patients. The Team operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so its important you have the flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends and bank holidays. The role also involves significant travel between patients homes and places of work. We are looking for someone who will enjoy working directly with patients in the community and is comfortable providing personal care. Please note that this role is not on the Home Office list of occupations eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route.
