An interesting and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Healthcare Support Worker.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and proactive individual to join our healthcare team at HMP Hull. The team includes a wide range of experienced, skilled individuals such as nurses, paramedics, clinical support workers, pharmacy technicians, pharmacists, physiotherapists, administration support workers, and more.

You will become part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, using your skills, experience, and knowledge to help define and deliver care to those with often complex needs. Alongside providing excellent care to service users, you will support colleagues in developing the service.

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Assisting with medication administration
  2. Leading clinics such as NHS Health checks, Phlebotomy, ECG, and QOF-related reviews
  3. Supporting registered nurses in delivering emergency care and assessing patients
  4. Blood borne virus and sexual health screening
  5. Initial reception screening during the first and second nights
  6. Health promotion activities
  7. Substance misuse support
