HMP Forest Bank is seeking a passionate, proactive, and reliable Healthcare Assistant (HCA).

Patient care is at the heart of our work. We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking, and committed healthcare professional who wants to make a difference in patients' lives.

Prison healthcare can be challenging yet rewarding. If you want a role where you can develop your skills and learn something new every day in a dynamic environment, this is the opportunity for you!

As a healthcare assistant, you will work within a multidisciplinary team, supporting and resource-sharing with other staff. You will collaborate with teams specializing in substance misuse and mental health, with ample opportunities for training and development, engaging with interesting patients, and acquiring new skills.

If you are self-motivated, able to work autonomously, and demonstrate initiative in handling various situations, then this role may be perfect for you!

Our services include substance misuse support, reception screening, care package provision, physical health observations, clinics such as Phlebotomy, ECG, BLS, NHS health checks, sexual health, health promotion, and emergency response alongside registered nurses. Good communication skills, computer literacy, and teamwork are essential. Candidates should possess NVQ Level 3 and relevant care experience.
