Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Band 2 Healthcare Support Workers (HCSW) to join our Emergency Department team as we start a multi‑million transformation and expansion. We are looking for applicants with recent HCSW experience in an acute setting who are enthusiastic, motivated, keen learners, innovative and forward thinking.

Please note: this role is not currently eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must independently obtain ongoing right to work in the UK beyond any temporary permissions and provide evidence to HR as required.

Responsibilities
  • Support the care team in the Emergency Department, including Majors, EDAU and Resus, for both children and adults with a range of conditions.
  • Work in a busy environment with a high turnover of patients and provide compassionate patient care.
  • Participate in internal rotation for all ED staff and work 12.5 hour shifts (1 hour break), day and night.
  • Engage with the clinical practice educator team to ensure robust support and education as you begin your new role.
