We are seeking compassionate and motivated individuals for the role of Healthcare Support Worker (HCA) Band 3 at Elizabeth Ward, Whipps Cross Hospital. This position is open to both experienced HCAs and newcomers to care. Newcomers will receive support to complete Band 3 competencies and can progress into a Band 3 role within six months upon successful completion.
Strong teamworking and communication skills are essential to ensure patient comfort, wellbeing, and safety.
Elizabeth Ward/CCU is a busy cardiology unit with 8 coronary care beds and 10 general cardiology beds. It offers specialist cardiac investigations and treatments, including interventional cardiology, heart failure, electrophysiology, and cardiac device implantation. The ward promotes a multidisciplinary approach and provides opportunities for professional development and training.

This role may require shift work, including nights and weekends. The successful candidate will be part of a team dedicated to high-quality patient care, continuing to develop essential competencies through training and practice.
This position is suitable for individuals new to care. Support will be provided to complete Band 3 competencies, with progression to Band 3 expected within six months. During training, the salary will be at Band 2 level.
