Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Senior Health Care Assistant to work in our busy MIU and UTC.

You will work with a skilled multidisciplinary team, caring for patients with minor injuries or ailments booked via 111, other healthcare professionals, or self-presenting to the unit. Under supervision, you will manage your own clinical workload and delegated activities. Computer literacy is required; experience with System 1 is advantageous but full training will be provided. This role is varied and suited for someone already working in healthcare.

Applications requiring current Skilled Worker sponsorship are ineligible.

Your responsibilities include supporting Registered Clinical Staff in providing high-quality, individualized care to patients, managing your workload, including wound care, burns, observations, clinical investigations, and minor injury treatments like splints and slings. You should be flexible, resourceful, and committed to delivering evidence-based care across all ages, with a focus on personal and professional development.

This position requires an Enhanced DBS check; applicants subscribed to the DBS update service can present a valid certificate.
