Overview

Are you passionate about Healthcare? Are you a Healthcare Assistant, Carer or Support Worker who enjoys making a positive difference?

Role and locations

East Kent Hospital University Foundation Trust are now recruiting Band 2 Healthcare Support Workers for William Harvey Hospital in Ashford and Kent & Canterbury Hospital in Canterbury.

If successful, you will be invited to an Assessment Day at the Kent and Canterbury Hospital on Wed 5th November 2025 9am - 4pm. The majority of positions are likely to be within our Surgical, Medical and Admission wards as well as the Emergency Department.

Hours and flexibility

Full-time and part-time hours (minimum 30 hours per week) are available but nursing is carried out 24 hours a day 7 days a week 365 days a year, so we do require full flexibility from you.

Qualifications and safeguarding

The ability to converse easily and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for all customer facing roles. Most positions require a Disclosure and Barring check and will be exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Posts working regularly or unsupervised with children or vulnerable adults require an enhanced check. Applicants for eligible roles requiring Tier 2 sponsorship must meet UK Visas and Immigration eligibility criteria. We operate a no-smoking policy on all our sites and grounds.
