Suitable candidates will earn while they learn, gain valuable experience across various NHS departments, and progress in their healthcare careers through funded training and supportive work placements across the Trust.
Exciting opportunities have arisen for Health Care Support Worker Level 2 Apprenticeship at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The posts are available for those working within an NHS Healthcare environment while completing a Level 2 Apprenticeship qualification (15 months).
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with a professional attitude, excellent communication skills, a positive work ethic, and good interpersonal skills.
Your apprenticeship will include the Care Certificate; in addition, you will be offered all relevant in-house courses.
Successful applicants can develop their careers through this funded training programme. Staff new to the Trust will be employed on an apprentice contract, providing an opportunity to ‘earn while they learn’. Rotation opportunities are available across all NHS clinical areas, including surgery, medicine, theatres, physiotherapy, and community care, with placements available Trust-wide.
If successful in being offered the apprenticeship, you will be required to provide evidence of GCSE Maths and English Certificates at level A - E (9-2).
Healthcare Support Workers who complete the programme and demonstrate the Trust's behaviours and values will be eligible to apply for a permanent position within the Trust. If their qualifications meet the requirements for the post, they will be guaranteed an interview.
