Job Summary

We are a 20-bedded community hospital delivering high-quality care in a rehabilitative setting. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed, experienced, enthusiastic, and highly motivated Healthcare Assistant to join our team.

If you enjoy a challenge, can work at a fast pace, and are eager to work with a multi-disciplinary team to provide dignified care, then this could be the role for you.

We welcome enthusiastic, motivated, and reliable candidates. Experience in healthcare is preferable, but all candidates will be considered. Training and support will be provided.

Candidates must be flexible to work various shifts, including long days, nights, and weekends.

The successful applicant will be offered a Band 2 or Band 3 position depending on experience and qualifications:

  • Band 2: Minimum 12 months care experience required; no formal qualifications needed. Completion of the Accelerated Care Certificate is necessary to progress to Band 3.
  • Band 3: Minimum 6 months NHS experience and completion of the NHS Care Certificate required.
Main duties of the job
  • Meet the care needs of patients under supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • Participate in induction, mandatory, and statutory training.
  • Ensure high standards of patient care in line with policies and guidelines.
  • Work effectively within the healthcare team and refer to Registered Nurses as appropriate.
