Our Adult Inpatient Ward areas are now recruiting we have various opportunities based at St Peter’s Hospital in Chertsey.
Full time and part time posts will be considered (and successful applicants must be able to work a minimum of 23 hours per week), shifts include long days, nights, weekends, and public holidays. Our HCSWs will need the flexibility to cover varied shift patterns over a 7-day period. Shift times are:-
Experienced health care support workers and those that are new to a caring role are all welcome to apply. You must demonstrate within your application that you have good communication skills, have competent IT skills, and have a kind, caring and compassionate nature. Applicants must be able to demonstrate their suitability for and understanding of the role of health care support worker.
As a HCSW you will be a valued member of the team and can make a significant difference to people in your care.
The Trust offers onwards training for HCSWs including a four week induction programme, working towards the Care Certificate, Maths and English qualifications.

Our Healthcare Support Workers are at the heart of providing direct patient centred care, supporting the Registered Nurses and Nursing Associates as well as the wider Multi-Disciplinary Teams.
The role is varied, equally challenging and rewarding, where you will have the opportunity to really make a difference to the experience of our patients. This could be by supporting patients in their rehabilitation and recovery following an operation or a period of acute illness, caring for patients upon admission to hospital in a fast-paced environment supporting the medical and nursing teams or providing holistic and compassionate care for our more vulnerable patients or those at the end of their life.
The main aspects of this role are to provide fundamental care at the patient’s bedside, delivering high quality hands on care, supporting patients with their personal care, mobilising and eating and drinking.
