As Bournemouth's specialist respiratory ward, we care for anyone from younger patients requiring acute illness management, to looking after people with long term conditions such as COPD and providing person centred care in someone’s last days of life. We provide exciting opportunities for healthcare support workers to be trained in a range of extended skills, including some that are unique to A11 R such as caring for patients requiring Non-Invasive Ventilation.
The ideal recruit would have patient safety and team-working at the forefront of their minds. We believe that working together ensures the best outcomes for our patients, and pride ourselves in maintaining a friendly, fun workforce. We expect healthcare support workers to work closely with the nursing staff, by providing patients with day-to-day care, and always promoting their independence. You would also spend time completing observations and escalating patient’s conditions appropriately and documenting any findings.
Although previous NHS experience is an advantage, it is not essential as training will be provided! All we need from you is a compassionate and outgoing personality and a willingness to learn.
