Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Senior Health Care Assistant to work in our busy MIU and UTC.

You will work with a skilled multi-disciplinary team, caring for patients with minor injuries or ailments who are booked via 111, other healthcare professionals, or who self-present to the Unit. Under supervision, you will manage your own clinical workload and delegated activities. Computer literacy is required; experience with System 1 is advantageous but full training will be provided.

The role involves supporting Registered Clinical Staff in delivering high-quality, individualized care to patients of all ages, including wound management, burn care, patient observations, clinical investigations, and minor injury treatments such as splints and slings.

You must be flexible and responsive to the service needs, manage resources effectively, and demonstrate a commitment to personal and professional development.

Employment requires an Enhanced DBS check; applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service can present a valid certificate instead of a new check.
