Job summary

Nuffield Health Tees Hospital is seeking a Nursing Support Worker for a permanent, part-time position, including weekend work. The role involves patient care, administration, and supporting the ward team in pre- and post-surgery care at our Tees Hospital site.

Qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care with relevant hospital or care experience is required, along with good telephone manners and solid IT skills.

Qualifications

• As a Support Worker you must meet deadlines and follow instructions.
• You have a good telephone manner and strong computer and database skills.
• You will need NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care with acute hospital or care experience.

Responsibilities

• Put patient care first.
• Carry out administrative duties.
• Support a team of Registered Nurses and consultants in delivering patient care pre and post surgery.
• Engage with patients and understand individual needs.

As a Support Worker on the ward at our hospital, you’ll show us you’re able to meet deadlines and follow instructions. You have a good telephone manner, and great computer and database skills. You will need to be qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, with relevant experience in an acute hospital or care setting.
