Job description

We are seeking a compassionate Health Care Support Worker, to provide essential assistance and support to individuals in need. The ideal candidate will have experience in various care settings such as home care supporting a young person with Autism, TICs, Anxiety and complex sensory communication needs.

Responsibilities:
• Assist clients with daily tasks including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation
• Administer medication following prescribed schedules
• Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals under your care

Skills Required:
• Strong communication skills and a caring demeanour are essential for this role
• Engaging with various activities prescribed by physio and other therapist
• Providing calm, consistent support
• Helping with personal care, daily activities, and emotional regulation
• Understanding sensory needs and adapting accordingly
• Experience with Autism, Tics, or complex behavioural needs is essential
• Calm, empathetic, and observant, with a strong understanding of neurodiversity
• Ideally has experience with PICA, anxiety disorders, and non-verbal or minimally verbal communication
