An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Healthcare Support Worker to join our busy combined cardiac care and high dependency unit in Perth Royal Infirmary. The unit in Perth forms part of critical care delivery in NHS Tayside.
Critical Care Services comprises 4 units within the directorate of surgery situated on 2 sites approximately 25 miles apart.
At Perth Royal Infirmary
High Dependency/Coronary Care Unit – has 8 beds providing care for patients requiring level 2 medical /specialist cardiac care with an additional nurse-led chest pain triage service and provision of cardiac telemetry monitoring to adjacent wards this will be your primary base.
At Ninewells Hospital
Intensive Care Unit - has 8 beds, providing care for patients who require level 3 care.
Surgical High Dependency Unit - has 10 beds, providing care for patients requiring level 2 surgical care.
Medical High Dependency Unit – has 6 beds, providing care for patients requiring level 2 medical care.
You should be committed to delivering high quality person centered care and able to demonstrate an aptitude for learning and acquiring new skills.
You should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
