Job summary

Spectrum Community Health CIC, based in the United Kingdom, is seeking Healthcare Support Workers to join its multi-disciplinary team in Secure Services settings. The role involves caring for patients in prison environments, with opportunities to develop skills in health promotion and physical health care.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest and desire to work in Secure Services within Specialism.
• Vocational qualification at level 2 or equivalent relevant experience (e.g. GCSE grade 9-4)
• Prepared to study and complete Level 3 qualification (equivalent to A Level/BTEC National level)
• Understanding of basic health care issues.
• Computer literate, and able to use a range of Microsoft Office programmes. Standard keyboard skills.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team, maintaining effective working relationships and mitigating conflict.
• Good understanding of confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Substance Misuse monitoring, reception screening, providing agreed care packages, undertaking appropriate physical health observations, clinics such as Phlebotomy, ECG, NHS health checks, sexual health, and health promotion.
