Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Lead Solution Architect to drive architectures for complex healthcare technology programs. You will lead system design, establish policies, and guide large multi-project initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic requirements and stakeholder needs.

You will communicate decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, mentor teams, and shape the design lifecycle and adoption of best practices across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in solution architecture and systems design in healthcare
• Proven leadership of large or complex solution architectures spanning multiple projects
• Experience defining and governing end-to-end solution architectures for major initiatives
• Experience providing authoritative solution architecture guidance to delivery teams and senior stakeholders
• Experience leading feasibility assessments, architectural option analysis and business case input
• Experience influencing design and investment decisions
• Equivalent senior solution architecture experience accepted

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of architectures for complex solutions, ensuring consistency with requirements
• Establish policies, principles and practices for selecting solution architecture components
• Manage trade-offs among functional, service quality and systems management requirements
• Communicate proposed decisions to stakeholders using technical and non-technical language
• Provide organisational leadership and guidelines to promote specialist knowledge
• Develop and drive adoption of organisational policies, standards, guidelines and methods for system design
• Champion system design principles and selection of appropriate system design life-cycle models
• Lead system design activities for strategic, large and complex systems development programmes
• Develop effective implementation strategies consistent with requirements, architectures and performance constraints
• Develop system designs involving new technologies or new uses for existing technologies
