Location: Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada

Compensation: $20.50/hour

Schedule: Continental rotation – 08:00–20:00 / 20:00–08:00

What You’ll Do:

  • Patrol hospital grounds, entrances, parking lots, and critical areas
  • Monitor surveillance and alarm systems for unusual activity
  • Ensure secure access control, only permitting authorized entry
  • Respond promptly to medical emergencies and fire alarms
  • Assist and direct patients, visitors, and staff with courtesy
  • De-escalate conflicts with professionalism and poise
  • Collaborate with hospital personnel and local authorities
  • Maintain accurate reports of daily activities and incidents

  • Able to obtain a Nova Scotia Security License (Paladin can assist)
  • Valid First Aid & CPR Level C certification with AED
  • Completed immunization records for MMR, Varicella, and TB test
  • Fully vaccinated for COVID-19
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
  • Willing to complete Use of Force (UoF) and MOAB training (covered by Paladin with a 6-month role commitment)
  • High School Diploma/GED
