Job description

Royal Papworth Hospital is a centre of Excellence in healthcare, and this extends to our purpose-built 10-bedded Sleep Laboratory. The successful applicant will be a self-sufficient, dynamic person who is forward-thinking and, above all, a team player capable of working within our team to deliver first-class standards of healthcare.


Using your experience as a specialist sleep healthcare scientist, this role will involve the setup, analysis, and scoring of oximetry, sleep diaries, actigraphy, respiratory polygraphy, polysomnography, and daytime tests, working to internationally accepted standards. We also actively participate in the STP education programme with our own students and support other departments and hospitals. Student mentorship will be included in this with the support of the departmental Training Officer. Departmental clinical audit and participation in research studies is also required.
